Getting Started with Inertia Planner

Your complete guide to setting up and using the three life modes

📱 Download & Setup

iPhone Users

  1. Download TestFlight from the App Store
  2. Click the beta link provided in your invitation email
  3. Install Inertia Planner through TestFlight

Android Users

  1. Use the Google Play Console link provided
  2. Android version not currently available
  3. Install from the Play Store

Note: Beta access links are provided via email after completing the Beta Tester Agreement.

Create your classes, then add assignments and test prep items within each class.

Example: Create "Chemistry 101" → Add "Lab Report Due Friday" and "Midterm Study Sessions"

📋 Class Projects

Big projects? Break them down into milestones and tasks assigned to specific classes.

Example: "Senior Thesis" → Milestones: Research, First Draft, Revisions → Tasks within each milestone

🎯 Academic Habits

Set time-based goals to maintain, increase, or decrease study habits.

Example: "Read for 30 minutes daily" or "Reduce social media during study time"

Create deliverable-based or metric-based expectations with check-in schedules. These cascade based on timeframe (annual → quarterly → monthly → weekly → daily).

Example: Annual goal: "Increase sales by 20%" → Quarterly check-ins to track progress

📈 Work Projects

Just like student projects - create milestones and tasks, but focused on professional work.

Example: "Website Redesign" → Milestones: Research, Design, Development, Launch

🔄 Routines

Set recurring items with specific start/end times on certain days. No reporting needed - just scheduled structure.

Example: "Team standup Monday-Friday 9:00-9:15 AM"

📅 Using the Central Planner

The magic happens here - all your items from different modes come together in one organized planner.

See everything you've created across all modes. Use batch scheduling to:

  1. Select specific items you want to schedule
  2. Move to the weekly view scheduling screen
  3. Click an item, then click a time slot to schedule it
  4. Valid time slots appear in green

📱 Main Planner Tab

Your 3-day view shows what's coming up. Click any item to see scheduling details or reschedule.

✅ Productivity Tab

Report on your progress:

  • Mark tasks and assignments as complete
  • Report on habits (can set habits as 'omitted' if you prefer not to report)
  • Track your momentum and stay accountable
